yes it would, it may be a bit even on takeoff but after that you will go past him or pull away if you got the jump on him

if you can afford even an EB XR6 it will DESTROY a commode the one i sold a few years ago had nearly 400,000km and i reckon it would go close to my recently broken LEXUS quadcam V8 XF to 100km/h,
this fred is old but i still got a larf reeding threw it.LOL

hmm the 2.77 diff would mean more chance of getting blown of the line by a VS, are you going to but a 3.27 or 3.45 in it?

With an auto and 2.77 diff I personally don't like your chances. I'd be interested to know the outcome though I can see him getting a VERY good jump (couple of car lengths) and you'd only gradually reel him in after several hundred metres.

whats it have in it, if it's a manual with a 4.0 mpfi then the commo has no hope, with an auto it's up to your skills.

good luck

If your working take your 2grand into the bank use it as a deposit ,get a loan 4 say 8grand ,buy a car for 8or9grand ,you would get a very nice ef xr6/8 for $9000, go blow his doors of with it then pay it of as quick as you can and aslong as your not out pis*ing your pay packet away you will be setting yourself up nicely.

i see alot of people sayin my mates stock vs beat a modfied ea while others are sayin my stock ea beat a modyfied vs
all engines are different..u can't say that u'll beat this or that from a peice of paper or even going on wat mods u have...ie the stock vs may have a killer engine it it while the modyfied ea has a dud engine...vise versa...

EA manual should have the auto vs for sure. Maybe just get one for like under $1500 and change the diff ratio and thats instant off the line pick up. if your luckier you may even find an EB which is more power.

i wonder how a stock VL manual would go against the VS? My mate had a worked one and it blows them away off the mark but only manages to win by a car length in rolling start. You can pick one of them up for under $2000. Basicaly any large6/8cyl motor with a manual and efi thats under 20 years old should beat it with the right driving
