Wow nightwish looks popular......i can't stand it at all.

Arch Enemy
Dimmu Borgir - Mourning Palace
Iced Earth - Phantom Opera Ghost (30x better than nightwish)

Family Jewels very good, , but most fans have seen all clips before, ,

Stiff upper lip live DVD also very very good...

But nothing comes close in Music DVD to Live at Donnington. This is a masterpiece...

Megadeth - Angry again. Always loved it always will. First Megadeth song I heard, got me hooked. (thanks wulos)

Megadeth - Hook in mouth, countdown to extinction, high speed dirt, sweating bullets, foreclosure of a dream, hangar 18, too many to list, first to see will buy, immaculate one owner.....oh sorry, got carried away.

AC/DC: problem child, dog eat dog, livewire, jailbreak, long way to the top.

Metallica - probably enter sandman.

Strapping Young Lad- Does that count? Devin Townsend looks like he's still stuck in the 80's! And he produced some brutal metal when he worked with Lamb of God- another favourite.

awesome selection, although i dont really enjoy stuff post Rust in Peace... i think Mustaine went more 'rocky' rather than metal. although some stuff off the new album is pretty good.

its 1 year tomorrow since i saw them.... (last year : )

Great thread!!

hmmmmm 80's metal......lets see what the old grey matter can come up with. Have read some good ones already.

Metallica (goes without saying)
Kreator
Exodus
Queensryche
Anthrax
Megadeth
G'n'R (of course)
Iron Maiden (havent stopped singing run to hills in my head since reading these posts!)
Cacophany (anyone heard of them?)
Motley Crue

Then theres the whole Cinderella, Poison, Skid Row, Quiet Riot, Def Leppard, Lita Ford, LA Guns thing (glam metal or whatever - I wasnt into those but they were true 80's stuff).

Im sure there are heaps more - thanks for bringing up the memories!!

For me the one and only band is..........Tool...............(did they have Opiate out in the 80's ???? well I'll claim it!)

Yes, big fan of anything metal...

Suprised nobody's mentioned any Static-X or Soulfly, both great bands. Theres always the soft spot for the renound classics like Iron Maiden, Metallica and the rest!

Others i like are Rammstein, SOAD, Trivium, Tool, APC, Nightwish, Blindspott, Disturbed, Machine Head, Korn, Chimaira, Soulfly, the list is endless...

Favorite would have to be Mudvayne, always been a fan of them and saw them live earlier this year, they were pretty awesome. Like the Aussie hard rock/metal as well, Karnivool and The Butterfly Effect are brilliant.
