The green car image was from http://www.autos70.com/2008/09/inter...a-1971-75.html and it and the interior image was used in glossy 70's adverts in UK magazines by Lamborghini (Great Britain) Ltd (Proprietor Roger Phillips) who dealt in both Lamborghini and for a little while at least Intermeccanica. I thought more people would recall it from these adverts and the various roadtests and reviews at the time.

See how you go on this one. Its a well known european manufacturer & model with different coach work made by a group of 4 brothers.

But neither Karmann nor Ghia involved four brothers and VW Karmann Ghia's diddn't have a central grill.

The 4 Swiss brothers refers to the coach builders.
The car which its based is a German. As coachbuilders they've used Bentley, Packard, Healey, Javelin, Jaguar, Citroen, Austin, Porsche, VW and Bristol frames and sometimes only one example was made. They went bankrupt in the late 80's. Your VW guesses are close, but not a VW.
