I support the use of a million different things just like everyone else does. It doesn't mean I am some sort of radical but your ascertation of us all going hungry kinda makes you look like one!

Eventually ethanol will encroach upon food production, as a deal of the stuff is made from grain, grain which would otherwise feed humans.

“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Actually, can be made from sugar cane which grows 40 to 50 tonne an acre where grain only grows 1 to 3 tonne an acre, more efficient in land use, using sugar cane.

By definition, you're talking about something nobody wants.
If there is a market for ANYTHING, somebody will supply it. I have no problem with people selling Ethanol (or anything else) nor with gullible idiots putting in their cars.
If there was a market for it (ie not just one or two nongs) then my local servo would sell it (it doesn't) or there'd be somebody somewhere selling it (there's not.) Whilst it might peeve me to see the bowsers I use given over to this stuff, if the other customers require it, then I have no problem.

What you are advocating is forcing businesses to waste money so they can offer a product which by definition there is no market for.
And of course, guess who would ultimately bear the cost for this stupidity? Joe Public motorist using regular fuel.

Interesting but ludicrous opinions!

You must live in a very small world. I'd suggest you get out a bit and find out what's really going on and what the millions of gullible idiots are about.

I get the feeling that they know a lot more about this subject than you do

Nothing wrong with a e10 nozzle next to a ulp nozzle in any petrol bowser, the problem would be if they remove the ulp nozzle from the bowser & force those who want choice to use ethanol blends exclusively.

The opening paragraph is little ambiguous at first glance imo, probably designed to sell papers & trigger debate?

cheers, Maka
