From the 50's when designers had imagination and freedom, one of my dream cars, shouldn't be too hard...

Ok it's a Ford, it was offered in two and a four door hardtop body styles. They are best known for the unique styling cues and wide array of gadgets including a power rear window that could be lowered to improve ventilation, "twin jet" air intakes at upper corners of car's windshield, "seat-o-matic" automatically adjusting seat, and an average speed "computer".

It came standard with an automatic transmission and a 368-c.i.d. engine producing 290 horsepower (220 kW).

This particular car went up for auction in 2006, it had No Reseve and an price estimation of between US$75,000-US100,000, it sold for $US192,000....

Yeah you're right, for some reason there's no pic with your post at the moment although when I quoted it there was an image location, and it was the same image I posted it from, for those who can't see it... (EDIT - now my computer IS showing your pic, my connection is a bit slow tonight for some reason, I dunno!)

And the reason I picked this car is its from one of my favourite TV shows...

You may have to give us a clue, mate. Looks like a product of the late '60s and or early '70s.
