Was flicking through the fta tv channels yesterday and stumbled across a story about the owner of this car:
Reminded me of this thread and wondered how this number plate was allowed....

The number plate would be the least of Vicroads worries, considering.

[QUOTE=Tickford.;6457021]In VIC, you own the personalised plates. Cost starts at $495, and goes up to $12'000 (for Heritage plates).....
I still have my personalised plates (VIC) that cost $25 in 1981 when the only choice was 2 letters & 3 numbers white on black. Like me they are showing their age. |

I see the Lego Pioneer (LGOPNR) is again suffering the strictures of Roads & Maritime NSW, who are clearly sore losers.

Has anyone ever had a good experience with any of these flogs? They know nothing about what they're responsible for unless they want to bend you over on something. |

I wonder if it is possible to change your name by deed poll to whatever you want on your plates and then argue it is your name??

While I am all for not allowing offensive plates, this police actions was definitely well over the top:
https://www.news.com.au/technology/s...4962e31a7235f7 They should have let him drive it home and really should have waited for legal arguments to be finalised. Quote:

I've got two 'offensive' (I don't consider them 'offensive' but someone will) plate combinations sitting in my room waiting to go onto cars, one is in a similar tone to our Lamborghini driving legal friend, but all it takes is some greens voting communist who works at VicRoads to crack the ****s and have my cars deregistered.
They take the **** out of myself, not anyone else One would be perfect for something like a Turbo Territory with my family stickers on the back consisting of like 35 babies and 10 blokes in jail. All this **** started when Wicked Campers told everyone to GAGF and wouldn't play ball when they came in the crosshairs: https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/re...c4d909e1f11cf9 Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 06-12-2020 at 02:03 PM. |

At 74 years of age they will probably soon try to find a health related excuse to take his driver's license away for good.

Its probably one of those things where because he decided to push it so far he's on the NSW Police ****list so you couldn't even leave the driveway without being pulled over for brethos, license checks and all other sorts of time wasting tactics they can employ. |
