I did it for a year then stopped when I needed to sell my car.

30% of the passengers I would have preferred to cancel on had I known they were so inept at using the app, understanding the rules or just plain retards.

It was good timing as Uber started an open slather of recruitments and there were many more drivers for the fares available.

Throw in APP glitches and crashes, and a non existent driver support platform that always favored the passenger etc it was not worth the headache.

I see petrol has jumped 30c, started over the weekend.

Apparently Putin came out on Friday and said he would follow through with his production cut, but that doesn't start until next month.

Sleven still playing catch up, so fill up now and lock the price in for another week.

Some shady **** going on last week, friend pointed out to me that LPG price rise by 30c/L overnight out the blue and then when he went to shop servos showing the lower LPG price, a couple servos turning off the LPG pumps while they were showing the lower price, until the price rise went through then they turned them back on.

Makes me laugh - price of diesel is a huge driver for inflation and the RBA is out there raising interest rates every 2 seconds to combat inflation and no one is doing anything about trying to investigate alternatives for lowering the price of fuel which is a big driver of inflation

Clown world.

I've got a 4.89 rating on Uber and I've done a heap of trips and lots of pickups from sketchy places in the early hours of the morning, I reckon my points loss comes from me talking to the driver constantly - **** I love meeting random people and finding out their stories

Last ride I had the guy had been full time Uber for the past 4 years - was a forklift driver at Caterpillar in Tullamarine for 22 years, reckons he's making more money and working better hours with Uber.

Some people seem happy with it but others not so much, you don't know who is getting in your car, they're not always gonna be Franco.

I shop Taxis and Uber, if there's surge pricing then I use the 13Cabs app for taxis.

I've got a 5.00 rating... Probably only because I give every driver 5 stars, (whether they deserve it or not).

The reason I do this is that after speaking to a longtime Uber driver, he told me that when a number of available pickups are on offer... Uber drivers are more likely to select pick-ups from highly rated riders first for their own safety and peace of mind.

Contrary to popular belief, any rating below 4.5 is considered bad in the Uber world.

High passenger ratings guarantee you will get a ride quickly and won't be left waiting, so I play the game and put the odds in my favour.

I'm not sure what I did to give someone the ****s, probably day drinking and then doing $100+ uber rides half dead in the back of their cars - I'm not in other cities for 'business' lets just put it that way

I'm about two months away from being back on the road, I was hoping by now this joke would come to an end but it seems it's not to be.

Prior I think the most I've paid for fuel was $2.47/L for 98 in Mallacoota.

AFL app having 10c off for shell until end of march. Can be used once a day. Have noticed Shell prices being more aligned to everyone else lately.

I've noticed it too. Bit more competitive for sure.

They were absolutely copping a flogging on facebook when they were looking for feedback a few months ago. Everyone was calling them rip off's and un-competitive price wise, and the moderator said he would pass the feedback on.

Hmmmm so I went and use the AFL app barcode the other day. But it only gave 4c off.

Today, received an email, saying it was an error and I should have got 10c off. So they gave me a $10 prezzee gift card

So whats happened to the petrol price crisis? Was convinced we would see $3 for PULP at one stage. Seems to have settled down a bit.

https://tradingeconomics.com/australia/gasoline-prices

Diesel has come down from $2.20 to $1.80, yet supermarkets are still jacking up their prices. Whats the go there?

Paid $2.04/L for 98 this afternoon locally.

Because they're bastards, the same reason lettuce went up to $14/each but the farmer wasn't getting paid any more for their lettuce. Its an opportunity to increase the gross profit margin and hide it under a smokescreen.

I filled up Shell 98 for $1.86 with the AFL App 4c discount this afternoon in dodgey Dandenong.

I thought OPEC+ had cut production to screw us over?

Yes barrel prices finally lower over last couple of weeks.

Sydney appears cheapest back down to pre Putin war prices at around $1.60 p.l.

Melbs about 10c more.

I remember those heady days where a man measured his wealth in lettuce, and people fought over the outside leaves that are stripped and put in the throwaway bin in the supermarket...

Some said "Lettuce is the new toilet paper," and they were not wrong.

I was sitting on two hydro towers filled with lettuce, gently burbling away. I felt like I was the H.L Hunt of the new age...
