Agreed.

I can recall being on my Ps - thought I was invincible. Even after putting my HQ ute off the road and through about about 50m of scrub (didn't hit anything big), and later losing it and spinning, but fortunately going across a one lane bridge **backwards**, I still drove pretty stupidly for a long, long time. I guess the fact that I got out of those situations unharmed added to my own perception of my immortality. In hindsight I drove like an idiot for years and I'm lucky I didn't kill myself or anybody else.

The fact is, the younger you are, the less likely you are to appreciate how easily people die.

A close up and personal encounter with the pics in this thread, together with the accompanying personal testimonies, might have had more effect on me than my own lucky escapes. I can only hope that some of the younger members on this forum absorb what has been written in this thread and, if they drive like I used to, consider a behavioral adjustment.

IMHO People need to see photos like this to realise what damage and loss can happen and WAKE UP to themselves.
We live in Northern NSW and the main road I use every day is the Pacific Highway. The amount of accidents on this particular road due to idiotic drivers is beyond a joke!! I see so many stupid things every day and just cant believe my eyes sometimes.

DAZZLER351 am so sorry for your loss, I am a mum of 3 young kids and sincerely feel for you!

[QUOTE=Matt_971]let the flaming begin...........[/QUOTE

just what i thought, but some ppl are able to control their cars.

when i got my licence i went to joondaloop in perth (wide, dead roads) and in the wet just cut sick. i went there for 3 days. doing/attempting everything i could think of. cracked my bumper, but it saved my life AT LEAST 3 times. i no how to take a corner wet/dry what ever.

READ THIS PART PLZ: i no that i aint a god and above everyone else. i tried to compesate for my lack of experience by speeding up the process. i might might not pay for it but thats a risk im prepared to take.

oh and anyone who travels down tonkin at 12-2 am would no what im on about ITS FKKN DEEEEEAAAADDDDDD! so i dont see a prob doing even 300+ (if only i could)

There is no justification for driving at that speed on public roads even if you did teach yourself advanced driving skills by “cutting sick” in the wet for three days.

lol why post something like that on a public forum if ya dont want comments!!!!

I "cut sick" in a bush basher for nearly 3 years down the bush and hit trees, stumps roos you name it. Nearly rolled it 3 or 4 times. rolled 2 tyres off the rims. But we had a ball. Nearly every motor sport i do could kill me anytime it wants.

But do you see me thinking coz i done that for 3yrs not 3 days that i can speed. I am known to have a squirt now n then but come on mate do you think the cops are gunna say nah hes right there is no one around.

What about your parents / gf when they get woken up at 3am told you have died in a crash.

I woke up one morning when i was about 8yrs old staying with friends in a holiday house here in echuca before we moved here. Everyone was crying and i didnt know what was going on. turned out 1 of our friends had killed himself in a crash. he fell asleep. wasnt speeding nothing. hit a tree sideways and broke his kneck. Scared his GF and few broken bones for other girl in the car. but that hit me hard. you dont understand till you see it first hand. This guy was my idol when i was a kid. All the kids there loved him. He just had a way with us.

So i reckon you should take a hard careful look at yaself and what COULD happen.
What are your tyres rated too neways. Do you know what will happen if your tail shaft falls out at that speed. Kiss you *** goodbye!!!!

Sorry my mistake I didn’t realise you were only doing those speeds when conditions allowed.

Mate, the conditions never allow for safe driving at that speed. V rated tyres have a max speed of 240kph so you are running on their limits, one blowout and you're a small headline in the local paper. 3 days of self taught driving skills don't mean **** in the real world. If you crash at that speed your mates won't be pulling you out of your car, the coroner will be scraping you off the road.

Lots of people give their car a squirt every so often, but travelling at those speeds every night, one day the odds will catch up with you and you might take other innocent lives with you, have a think about it.

You typify the invincible attitude that has caused a lot of the accidents in this thread. You deserve to be flamed, so stop complaining. :

200+ on a track, there are no other cars going in the opposite direction, you are wearing a crash helmet, you have racing brakes fitted to the car, you have a rollcage and racing harness, the car is properly set up to do 200+ constantly, there are safety barriers and gravel traps, no hitchhikers walking along a "dead" road at night.

Mate I haven't done those speeds in my WRX let alone an EF. I'm not speed sensitive either, 120 is my 60 but I don't be stupid because of that. Our roads are not the autobahns in Europe.

Not neccessarily all that equipment but all the people at the track have assumed the risk whereas innocent people on the road have not.

The risk is much smaller aswell. On a track, you're doing these speeds in a controlled environment, and there are safety crews on standby (sometimes?), to get you of the car and make sure you're alright should an accident occur.

How long did Peter Brock race for? Years and years.
how good of a driver was he?

Bloody excellent

How did peter pass away?

Driving..
so don't go putting all your eggs in one basket.

I do NOT want to share the public roads of Australia with IDIOTS who want to do RIDICULOUS speeds like this. Why do you need to go this fast?????

There is a speed limit there for a reason
You have an EF, now the high beams on an ef would be lucky if they spread 50 meters up the road.

you got any spotlights or anything to help with visibility?

You do realise the amount of distance it takes to slow down from 200km/hr to a dead stop?

A lot More than 50 meters.
Can you do the maths there???

I've got ask "Is this guy for real ?" ...

1/ By his intelligence , Quote " i aint ignorant " I wonder how in the hell he got his licence in the first place .
2/ If he can't tell the difference between a Public Road & a Racetrack , this I can't comprehend ? ( I raced for 12 years , ON a track )
3/ Yep , I'm no saint , I think I've "maybe" hit 120k on a freeway in the daytime !
4/ The wife and I had a friend killed in the Blue Mountains bit over 2 years ago (head on) through no fault of his own , it affected 14 close families and numerous friends of his ( we live in a small town )

HOW selfish is this guy ? . I think he should get someone to read him this thread , because I don't think he understands the English Language !

Yep dobz , you'd better get a "Flame Suit" and a damn good one at that ...

peter brok thought he can control his car ay, i guess u should take up v8 super cars.

anyhow, ill be as polite as i can be, in simple terms, ur car wasnt made to go that fast and the road ur driving on wasnt meant to handle u goin that fast.

a small pot hole or perhaps a slightly worn out tyre and ur sad parents will post ur ignorant dead picture on this forum.

anyhow ive done my share of 200kph+ in 60 zones and yes im 21 <---- but i know enough to understand that u havent grown out of the "im fully sick and no1 can hurt me" stage.

good luck with ur life and if u decide to crash, kill urself only

I'm not going to bother flaming you or insulting you, because everyone else has already done that.

The thing I would like to know, is HOW you are actually getting an e series up to that speed. Have a two piece tail shaft and a police ecu I take it?

I think you are just having a bit of a **** mate.
