Default very sad excuse of a limited edition

:
what is this sad excuse of a limited edition it almost made me spew when i seen it in todays cars guide

it looks like they are just trying to use up the old f6x rims, they are even keeping the fpv badge on them when they arnt an fpv

Looks o'k to me - they are in the business of moving stock - this isn't the first time wheels, stripes etc have been put together to sell a vehicle.

The FPV boys, though, might have something to say about the caps.

Yes it is and can see nothing wrong with it? Its a dealer special designed to move stock, which it will and at a good price ...... climate control and 18's for the price? Some are hard to please.

Just above the windscreen.

Having said that, with a grill change it'd be a pretty good ride for the money.

I think more dealers should take on that sort if initiative, curious about the wheels though they claim to be fpv wheels??

Idea is to keep it as cheap as possible ... hence the price. G6 is being done through ford as the 'Limited Edition'. But no probs .... By the way, these would be ex fleet cars, with limited mileage, like SEC cars or similar

So does that mean I can get some cheap wheels fom bob jane and with FPV centre caps fitted claim they are "genuine FPV wheels"???

I don't ever recall seeing those style of wheels in the FPV line up.

Otherwise, good deal for those inclined. but you are NOT getting a new car.
They would be low k demos or ex factory owned.

EXACTLY.. its not a "limited edition" at all, its a "dealer special".. dealers are free to do what they like and if it helps them move stock its a good hing...

don't blame you, F6X didn't really take off. shame because it was such a nice car

i would buy one of those in black if i could afford it, those extras like 18's, climate control etc would make it a sealed deal and at low k's(you'd think) it looks like a good deal.

Yeah I know, all genuine ones are. I believe ford rims are stamped too, not just FPV. You know that, I know that. Enthusiasts will also, BUT, your average joe punter may not though. If a ford dealer grabs any rim mounts it on a car for sale and claims it to be a genuine article, ave joe would have no reason to question it.

This is what the Cobra was. A basic hardtop they couldn't sell, give it a make over and voila. Now it's a very desireable car.

The above reminds me of the dealer specials they had when trying to move the under-achieving AU1 stock. Ute grille and some alloys, etc.

Why would you buy an XR6 for $36,000 when you could get one of these and have 10 grand in your pocket for mods.

Bargain of the year I'd say

You get more in an xr than you would an XT, nicer interior, bodykit, ride, etc. And doesn't look like a taxi, but something abit cooler and sportier. but yer, I agree, $10k is alot to save on a similar car, its a steal.
