So long SS! I always thought the coolest was the first - the limited HQ series special.

Agreed, a bare bones Belmont with a 253, 4 speed and a stripe both sides of the bonnet and front guards.

This has nothing to do with dignity or respect, it's because they won't have a V8 model.
If they did they'd surely whore out the SS badge. So "we're retiring the SS name" really just means "no V8s for you"

Seems kind of crazy not having a V8 version when V8s are such a large percentage of commodore sales.
I'd expect a camaro anouncement between now and closure or all V8 customers in mustangs.
