Conspiracy Theories

Since we brought it up in another thread, does anyone have any conspiracy theories they've heard about? Perhaps a little bit of information that may be interesting? Perhaps urban legends that you can vouch for?

I'll give an example. Years ago my hubby and I were friends with this old guy. He was a nice bloke and had been in the Navy for many years and had been to Korea.

He said he always had suspicions about the Harold Holt disappearance... the ship he was on at the time was called in to look for the missing Harold Holt - the interesting part of the story is that it was called in FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE HE EVEN GOT TO THE BEACH.

Explain that!

There are plenty of theories that man didnt even make it to the moon, as the US were very competitive against Russia in space. There was a show once that highlighted all the photo's on the moon and how they were fake. Pretty good fake to me, probably BS

While on google earth the other week the biggest nuclear test crater in Area 51 (Nevada) was alledgedly listed as the moon setting for the fake film...lol

I saw a documentry about the 'fake' moon landing once. They got everyone's theories and explainations as to how it could've been faked (e.g. lighting techniques, camera techniques, special effects, etc etc and put it to the test. They tried filming in the Nevada at night with a massive light (to simulate the sun) but they were unable to get anything that looked convincing, so how did they do it so many years ago? I think the moon landing was legit.

I don't believe that America would have created a rocket, launched it and made it circuit earth for 4 days so they can fake the rest in the meantime. You might as well land on the moon if your going that far.

I LURRRRRRRRRVE a good conspiracy theory, I have seen all the documentaries on the moon landing conspiracy....VERY interesting, but there are good arguments on both sides...including the afore mentioned "moon surface" in Area 51....it actually does look identical when you see it on tv...Im still not convinced man walked on the moon...

On the moon landings...saw yet ANOTHER it was called "Astronauts Gone Wild", got it from a P2P...some guy approaches Astronauts who have "walked" on the moon, aldrin, armstrong etc...and asks them to place there hand on a bible and swear they walked on the moon...NONE of them do it....the look on their face says a lot...

Another good one is the Pentagon...was it really struck by a plane? Or was it a missile?? Have a look for yourself HERE !

The pentagon was a plane, the have since discovered the plane hit the ground before the building itself. Also the design of the pentagon has alot to do with the minimal damge. Built in the 40's to hold papers, it has an incredible infrastructure to take the weight of boxes and boxes of documents.. The point of impact was 'lucky' in the fact the accoustic damage was reduced as it could disapate thru the adjoing walkways.

I've seen the seconds for diaster special on the Pentagon and it went into alot more detailed than I can remember..

Only thing I didnt like about the Seconds from Disaster Pentagon doco was that it dodnt show ANY physical evidence of an aircraft...not one image of a wheel, engine...ANYTHING!

You can't seriously believe that a missle hit the pentagon, the area it had hit had recently been reconstructed and strengthened and was nearly empty, missile theory is stupid.

Yea I've seent that before too, I was meaning the doco, which should have been the best, didn't show any of that...but yea, it more than likely was a plane....

I watched the moon landing conspiracy theory and the one point that got me thinking was when they say that the rocket would have to travel through a huge belt of radiation that would kill every thing in its path.................And

how come the yanks have not been back to the moon for .........well i dont know how long but early seventies i think. Maybe because they have never been there!!

The fact you can see the landers from earth and there are instruments that you can bounce a laser off should nerf all hippie theories.

Now something to get your brain thinking. martin Bryant walked into the Broadwater Cafe, gunned down 30 odd people within 90 seconds, alot of them headshots. That's a hit every 3 seconds, try picking up a target, shooting and moving onto anothe that quickly. Later that night the cops had him pinned down for hours and he didn't hit one of them.
