I will let the pictures do the talking.

Saw them on Saturday 14th march (last weekend) around 9.15am- western ring road- west/ city bound

It was an honor to see these cars in the flesh.

Very nice XA Coupe there, the Stang isn't really my cup of tea though.

Surprising to me that at least the coupe isnt covered. : The stang is mostly a burnout car these days isn't it? Does he drive a Kia Rio around to save petrol does he? Or maybe he was driving Mater.

I thought street machines were meant to be driven :

Not sure either of those deserve a number plate.

always irks me when cars never driven on the road get 'street' machine awards. I remember when street machine mag used to have '100% street driven' logos on their cars but they lost all meaning when cars never registered starting being featured.

Awesome cars, tho.

'Show car' of the year?
Disply car of the year?

Not street car

Just my thoughts

Well he can't drive both of them to the same event at the same time can he?

Also maybe he trucks them there, as being the sort of event it is, is going to attract extra police attention, the way cars get defected these days, it might not be worth driving those sorts of vehicles, straight into a police haven.

I have personally seen the stang driven around here, on the streets, so it does get street driven.

Funny how things turn into an arguement on Street Cars vs Show cars vs Street driven Show cars. They are great cars in there own right and they are driven often, not just nessesarily on the road.

If it was the same one I saw on Friday in Greens Rd Dandenong. Heard the whistle of the blower before I saw it and jaw hit the ground! Amazing looking ... and sounding thing. I think this was more an Elenor than a Shelby from the front but only really saw the side and rear ...... unbeleivable.

not to sure if it was the same one but this one was sex on wheels

if the one you saw was silver it could well be the same car icant imagin to many of them around

and yes when i passed it it did look a bit like elenor but from the rear it had the big shelby across the back just below the boot line

like this one but in silver and had the gt type stripes down the centre

the guy driving it was relativly young as well prob in the mid to late 30s

When we took 3 cars to Virginia for adelaides comp, 2 where street registered and driven. Lucky we took them up on trailers! No one stops to think that burnouts hurt cars and if we had driven them up, 2 of them wouldn't be coming back. Trans and a water pump went on one car, diff on another. Ouch. And they where nothing flash, but I sure as hell wouldn't build something like garys stang, then drive it up to the burnouts. I'd do Sunday drives with it.

Well, he actually drives a BA XR8 as his daily.

And the coupe has been driven on the road, I dare say many people from around here noticed when it was out last time.

Awesome spot mate. Wish I had a camera a couple of months ago when on the way to Sydney from Melbourne, I saw a red ford GT with the white stripes heading south on the Hume hwy. Unfortunately, by the time I realised what it was it had gone the other way. Anyone living in Melbourne seen this car? I shouldn't imagine there wouldn't be too many of them.

There was a red one with white stripes at the Geelong All Ford Day, could be the same car. I think they was a pic of it in the AFD thread.

i'm guessing gary myers was driving the truck.. if you owned them would you want anyone else driving them to any destination? lol...
besides.. it would be cheaper fuel wise driving them wherever this way..
who knows mate..there must be some good reason.. either way i still enjoyed the pics..
cheers.

I've seen that red/white FordGT several times. Once in Wodonga, once 10kms southwest of Wodonga heading for Melbourne, and on March 1st at the FPV open day. Spent nearly an hour drooling over it. Rare beast because it was converted to RHD. Those rear tyres are HUUUGE.

There was a 2nd red/white one in LHD behind a tape barrier as well.
