Elon Musk has purchase 1255 ventilators from China and will donate them. Tesla is also going to make ventilators in its factories.

Tesla fanboy propaganda, here is the real headline:

Many auto manufacturers have been asked/volunteered to help turn their idle production facilities into making ventilators, this includes Ford, GM and Tesla.

I heard Toyota are developing a new ventilator which will provide relief much faster than the opposition, some are suggesting within 5 seconds...

KIA are also making ventilators, cheap ventilators which many seem to be favouring over their more expensive opposition...

Wow...so much hate for someone who has purchased from his own money much needed ventilators from overseas to give away and save lives.

Some serious soul searching and reflection for you haters.

Those machines going to save lives.

If you or someone you know end up using his free ventilators im sure you wont hate him so much.

To be fair here, this is a Tesla thread. I think we are all aware of what Ford and HSV are doing but people might not be across what Tesla are doing. I'll admit, I didn't know Elon had purchased ventilators nor am I aware that Ford (or any other manufacturer) had done that (buying ventilators) for people at this stage. Have they?

How people can hate (or love) so much is beyond me... See it for what it is. A nice gesture in a difficult time.

Do you guys want to go and get a room?

Seriously, another decent thread that is ruined because people can't understand that other people have a different view to them, and that it is ok to have different views.

Accept it and allow decent conversation to be had.

I know this is the pot calling the kettle black, but I wonder if some of this angst is as a result of the current isolation arrangements? Guess it will only get worse.

I'm negative about Tesla as they are overhyped. If you like them great.

Maybe I could be to suggest better cars can be made by better brands moving forward.

Plastic? No cure for...

Electric cars have much more metal than ICE. All those LITHIUM batteries. The metal battery casing. The Electric motors. Titanium battery shield... So much more metal used here.

Enjoy your plastic Holden/chev v8 with all its ugly plastic bumpers and hideous bodykit. Why not take your own advice and go to a Holden forum?

The irony of your comment.

It's called marketing.

Tesla doesn't really spend on advertising which is amazing!

All companies and business including Ford and GM pay billions per year for what Tesla gets for free.

No one is forcing you to buy or like a Tesla.

In fact your not even required to post in the Tesla thread.

People like different brands and products then you.

I don't understand going into say a thread on Toyota and constantly say you don't like their cars or company and saying why don't you talk about other car brands

You might want to look at the top of the page, the banner in fact and what it says. I'm here for Fords, same reason i'm not on Tesla forums starting Mustang threads, then wondering why theres a bit of back lash. I do realize they are a fast capable car just not for me, and yes we can have discussion about them here, just don't expect all to buy into the Tesla cool aid. I will once all this virus lockdown has passed, take a test drive just to see what Tesla hype is about, but will take a lot of convincing to get me out of my current car, looks sound and handling also play a big part in what i drive.
Cheers Mark.

agreed with this though the backlash is somewhat disproportionate.

Take it for a spin. Sound aside, I was blown away by the handling and acceleration for a big sedan. Throw in all the features and it's a very comfortable place to be in. It hasn't replaced my love for V8's but for everyday use I appreciate it for all that it does.

But if sound is what you want... It's similar to what BMW did after they turbocharged the M5

Good friend has a 2019 m5 BMW, sounds pretty good on the outside as well, not to mention 10.8 1/4 mile, Tesla stereo would need to dam good to replicate 8200rpm flat plane voodoo goodness i'm used to tho.

Tesla will get that quarter mile time easily.

Agreed, the Flat plane voodoo is yummy!

I don't even understand why a Tesla thread exists on a Ford Forum.

Of course they don't spend money on marketing.

They rely on lemons like you and co who will buy regardless as "new technology" so it must be better, and it saves the company massively.

Or they’re paying people like him to post on forums. 99% of his posts in this website are about electric cars.

He has to be a paid shill.

Not sure why the mods let it go, because forum sponsors have to pay to advertise, but this guy is advertising for Tesla for free and there is no issue with that?

I'm confused. I thought you guys were saying they would be going broke and wouldn't have money to pay people like this.

But it would be rather pointless, wouldn't it? Paying people to post on this forum of all things when most people have made their minds up already?
