Is it like all the other recent Australian "action" shows?

Like city homicide etc?

Coz I get the feeling it will be and can't bring myself to watch it due to making myself dizzy from all the eye rolling.

Won't see a torrent for a couple more hours I would imagine. There was a lot of interest in the first series so browse around in the morning.

You didn't watch the first series?

I'm sure they take a huge dose of poetic licence to make the story more 'interesting' but it is based on real events. The first series was possibly the best Australian TV I've ever watched.

There was a green xc parked outside the pub (where Mckay was gunned down) which looked just like the one my dad taught me to drive in......ahh the memories.

I happened to watch my first episode ever tonight, after dropping in at a friends place down at Glenelg. Ewww ! After seeing Bert's son butt naked, I won't be watching it again in a hurry... if ever.

Also, they never knew how Mckay ever got done in, so don't know why they showed it. Blah.

I liked it, I know people dont like Newton because he's a Newton and the whole domestic violence thing. But I think he's doing a good job. He's one of the few actors in Australia, with atleast some bit of a edge to him.

Nah I missed the first few episodes so never got into it.

Then I was forced to watch an episode of (sh)city homicide and my god was it cringe worthy

So my perception of Aussie tv is pretty bad at the moment, seems they try way to hard to be like hollywood these days.

The first season was leaked, as such there were torrents available a few days ahead of the airing of each episode. I doubt that'll happen so give it a couple of hours before someone records its, then rips it and then a few seeders get hold of it.

The last 7 or so seemed they picked them off the cutting room floor as they lacked a lot of the sounds in the background (in fact, IIRC, it would have the sound effect as a caption on the bottom of the screen) and were released about a month before they aired.

I'd say the hysteria behind the 1st season and its torrents was due to the show being banned from viewing in Victoria at the time, I doubt we'll see many pre-airs hit torrent sites that early this time.

Looking at the shows I have on my PC, Underbelly is currently the only Australian show I watch. In fact, I dusted off the old video capture card specifically to record this show just incase it took its time to make torrents. ;)

Give it a crack, it does have its cheesy moments (which show doesn't...?) but it's absolutely worth a watch - which I'm doing right now.

Haven't found a torrent in the normal places I look but found it on usenet.

I'm hoping they trot out Roger Rogerson again this season and have him review each episode. He has a way with words. :P

I was suprised at how good it was, I cringed at the beginning of the 1st Underbelly but it got better and this new one kicked off pretty good I thought.

The mistake I picked up was the bad guy was in an XC and the detectives investigating were in a HQ (Premier no less, not likely). Considering the Police always have the newest model car perhaps they should have been in a HJ at the very least.

Apart from that, I enjoyed it as well as the female nudity (that goes without saying).
Definitely be watching the rest. Oh yeah, the glimpse of an XB coupe overtaking when he was on his way up to Griffith, nice touch.

Saw some nice Falcons and a lot of Falcons featuring in it, from what I could see, I only watched a bit of it, what are the producers of Underbelly trying to say, a Falcon is a criminals car!?

I thought exactly the same thing. First 5 minutes I was thinking, here we go... great concept but that's diabolical acting. It picked up very quickly though and easily the best Australian series I've ever watched. I hope this series is of the same standard.

Yep I liked it too, good to see the older cars.

One thing that was bugging me, and something I really should know already. What was the car Kiwi Terry Clark was driving?
