Default Do cars listen to your conversations????

Needed some Firewood this morning so I thought I'd dust off the trusty wagon and go down to the wood yard - paid for 1/2 tonne, threw 1/4 tonne in the back and off I go home to unload ready for a return trip.

On the way home I made mention to the missus that I'm in two frames of mind whether to sell the wagon as I'm not really using it as much as I thought I might have! Shouldn't have said that should I??

Unloaded the car and got ready to go and get the rest - got down the bottom of the hill and I loose power steering, Alt light is on and temp gauge starts to climb!! Yep the Tensioner pulley had shat itself and chewed the belt!!

Hour later RAA turns up and organises tow to get car home!! Guess what I'll be doing in the next couple of days?

Think I'd better watch what I say in future hey???

I reckon they must... Can't remember how many times, in the old carby & points days, when I'd go to start my old Falcon in winter... cranking cranking... and I'd say something like "C'mon ya ******.... start, or I'll push you over a cliff !".... and then it's fire !

Your cars behaving badly.

Usually when I'm thinking of desposing of mine they will perform faultlessly until the thought passes. If I was thinking that way and they broke down it would only make me more determined to get rid of them.

Your wagon better consider its actions.

They can also read your thoughts...
Oh, and if you're working on the engine and you start swearing at it, you can guarantee the bonnet will come crashing down onto your head.
Only think happy thoughts around your old cars

Don't know if cars listen to your words or thoughts... But my cars always seem to run smoothly and are happier after they've ben given a good wash and wax.
It's as if the car is saying...
"Thanks, for looking after me.... I'm going to thank you for all the love you've been giving me, by taking care of you and giving trouble free motoring pleasure!"

Hmmm BAXRSIX - you may be onto something there - it has been quite a while since it had a polish - but it did have a bath yesterday morning. Maybe I should have used warm water instead of just blasting it with cold

I'd be more worried if I started hearing it speaking back to me.

Even if cars could hear, mine wouldn't hear because of all the lovely, loud V8 noises it makes.

I had a Camira that would break down immediately if you let it know you had any spare money. We learned never to speak about money in that POS.
