Just noticed that the coolant is bouncing about in the expansion bottle chamber above the main hose.
When the revs change as the a/c compressor cuts in and out it sends a spurt of coolant into the bottle. It doesn't look like bubbles from a head gasket and the engine is running OK and not using any coolant Is this normal or the signs of a head gasket problem

Not normal but check for soft/ collapsing radiator hoses and try a new pressure cap first.

I have had the same problem. Change of radiator cap and thermostat corrected the issue.
Cheers Stu

Then clamp off the hose from the thermostat to the bottle-the radiator may need clogged.
