I have always liked the design of the first-gen Ka. Now even better with a real engine!

The owner would just about be sitting in the back seat the way the Barra goes through the firewall.

Wow it’s been a long long time since I’ve seen a toy Ka on the roads. A junkbox 90s excel is still a more common sight

I had a 98 Hyundai Excel. It was a surprisingly nice car. I would probably still have it as a cheap roundaround if it hadn't been stolen.

Back in the day the local Ford dealer gave me a Ford KA while the doors of my BA had to be repainted.
Initially i was fuming, but after 3 days of driving the KA around I didn't want to give it back, it was a great little car that handled superbly and was simply a lot of fun.

Here is a 'crazy', road legal, and 'mass produced' micro car, The new Fiat 500 with an Alfa engine mounted in the rear by Italian tuner Giannini:
https://www.motor1.com/news/147884/f...iannini-350hp/ Would have been nice if anyone does the same to a Fiesta ;-) Cheers, |

An Ecoboost 2.3 should fit in easily in the front, similar size as the YB Cosworth, but easier to find.
The KA has a kerb weight of 955 kg, so a lot lighter than for example the 4-cylinder Mustang at 1705 kg kerb weight. The RWD drivetrain would add som hundred kg, but still would be a light build. Cheers, |

The 2.3 ecoboost's are starting to find their way into Mk1 & 2 Escorts. Thankyou Ford we were almost out of usable cossies without selling a body part.
