Default Central Locking Boogy!

High guys, anyone replaced the gear in the drivers door lock actuator with a new ebay replacement gear / cog? Ive read a couple of times that they can fail after a period of couple of months & was wondering if any AFF members with AU's had any experiences like that, or can they confirm if they are good enough for the job.

cheers, Maka

Thanks for your confirmation Uncle Ken, if no negative responses turn up here i will buy the new ebay cog & see how that goes! The door still opens fine by the key, so i can wait for it to turn up in the post.

I had to do two on our old Fairlane, both lasted about 4 years, then we sold it.

Bought both from this place, they're both good and fast.

I remember the first one I bought. Seeing as he has his ph number on his ebay ads, I rang him on a Sat afternoon.

He had the phone diverted to his mobile and answered it from a Golf course!

If you live in the Melb area you can pick them up, but you're out Moree way aren't you?
A bit far to drive
