Default Brake warning light

Hey guys, I think this light is the brake warning light? (Ignore the traction control light being on, the car is on LPG)

I just changed my front pads, and this light came on. Do I have to go to Ford to get the fault cleared, or will it go away?

I presume it came on because my pedal dropped to the floor when I first touched the pedal. The brakes are working.

It goes away, pump the brakes a bit or just let it go away after a while of normal braking. Mine comes on when i take my car out on the track and they turn to sponge.

Thanks

I've taken it on 2 short drives...it is still on. I might take it for a big cruise tomorrow and see if it goes away.

sounds like you have managed to get some air in the system , either that or something has gone astray in the master cylinder when you pushed the callipers back

Undo the pressure switch from the master cylinder and allow it to reset the put it back in.

Thanks for the comments guys. I didn't undo anything, or run the master cylinder out of fluid, so I didn't put any air in. The brakes also work 100%. So I don't think there is an actual problem with the brakes.

I will try the pressure switch. Cheers

So I was cruising along tonight, and pulled up at a set of lights....and the front brakes made a really weird noise....I looked at my mate and said wtf was that!!

So I turned the radio off, and drove off, and stopped again in the middle of the road...and the brakes seemed to shudder...and made the odd noise again.

So I got the *****, sped up to 100, and just jumped on the brakes. Car stopped extremely quickly lol..No noise, and that stupid warning light went off!! Win
