The Rebel was a series 2, IIRC. But that it is the Rebel body kit which became standard on the series 3. So yes, I guess it is a Rebel, of sorts.

Given the kms, doesn't seem like a great buy.

Your right, it's not a Rebel. The Rebel kit became a option on S3's. At the end of the day that doesn't make it a Rebel of any sort.

I've got a rebel and there is no real diff with a series III
Just the wheels and the rebel came with Momo interior std.
And if you got it new you got a PS2 and GT3 signed by some V8 guys.
But with them km's you wouldn't want it for that money, the interior would be shot and the motor may of had a hard time of it.

That is a lot of Km's for a car of that vintage. I brought a cheap 1 owner EB 1991 model runabout for $650 and the kms are less on it than that car. There is a better buy on a S2 TE for $16,500 on carsales.

Definatly not standard kit on S3 XR8 sedans...

You will find most of the later 02 model XR8 sedans would have the rebel kit on them.
Series 3 started in sept 01 from memory.

looks like i am today . Go to brochure scans for AU XR Series 3
scan AU3XR-03_w and look right down the bottom at ford racing bodykit
option on XR6 and XR6 VCT oh no its standard on the XR8 : but then that could have been a typo from Ford on there sales brochure i guess

It wasn't standard but it was a no cost option. When ordering you either chose the "rebel" kit or the older Tickford kit.

Has any one got or seen a series III xr8 220 with tickford kit ?

I never seen one.
But then again, come to think of it a have seen a series 2 with SERIES III/ 220 kw badging and thought it was a series 2 dressed as a series 3, missing the body kit.

Mutton dressed as lamb! LOL!

Sorry I couldn't resist that one. There does at times appear to be some snobbery with what car's allowed to have what kit and badges etc. And yes, both my AUs have Tickford wings on them!

Having said that, I'd probably be similar if I had an XR or T-series! LOL!

Yeah a few,was looking at a few when looking to buy a car for the missus, 1 was an 02 model, the other a late 01 from memory.
Harder to find the ones with the rebel kit than the tickford kit, (back then) but now they seem to be everywhere!
