Hi,
We have an LW Trend and are stumped by the following - With the doors open, the park lights and tail lights switch on but then will not turn off until the doors are closed. Is this normal? Is there a function to switch this 'feature' off? I've tried toying with the follow me home setting but that does not seem to change the behavior. I've noticed this when cleaning the interior and wonder about a situation if a door is left ajar overnight and come back in the morning to a flat battery. We don't always lock the car and may not notice the lights on in the garage. I hope I'm missing something obvious. Thanks for any advice. |

Interesting, my G/F's WQ fiesta does this and id love my XR5 to be able to do it.
Simple solution for you though, just lock the car, why would you want to leave it unlocked even if it is a garage?

The lights should turn off by themselves after some time. When i take my time cleaning the interior of my car, i notice the lights switch off after a couple of minutes. Or i guess you could try pulling the headlight stalk in after you've opened the doors - as it also activated the follow me home lights manually.?
