Boring question,
Just did an oil change on my 99 AU, I used the Shell ECO-10 oil, but noticed that only 99 AU's require it, all the other AU's require a different type of oil. Anyone know why? |

I've had a 99 AU for 8 years, and it has never required this oil. Where did you find this?

The oil filler cap on my 99 wagon is labelled "Use 5W-30 Oil".
Are you saying the Shell product manual specifies different grades for different years of AU's? Is this manual one of the many product refs Supercheap keep or is it online? Just curious, I'd like to have a look for myself.

Yeah its one of the many they had hanging from their shelves.
My wagon also has the cap labelled 5W-30 too, I've just checked the Shell Helix Website lube selector http://www.shell.com/home/page/au-en...lubematch.html and it specified, premium use HELIX F 5W-30 standard use HELIX PLUS LB 10W-30 but nothing about the eco-10.... |

Probably a versioning issue, maybe those web pages haven't been updated like they should.
