Yep, go for it. I just have too much on my plate at the moment but I'll gladly help where I can and will certainly be there if at all possible.

Alright so i'll do some research on Hanging Rock and make a few phone calls as to what we can have n what we can do! I'd like to know what month to hold this in so i can see if it's free at Hanging Rock...

My plan would to be...

Family first...

So the kids would have to have entertaiment for them...Jumping castle is a great idea and maybe even some face painting and someone who's got ballon making skills maybe one of u could dress up in a clown suit! There just some rough ideas for the time been!

Cars...

Parking as it was last year all lined up!

BBQ...

We'd be paying maybe $10 again that covers BBQ, Drinks etc...

Games for the adults...

Competions like exhaust off's, best interrior, lowest ride, best looking S1, S2 & S3 car, the most rock bottom stock car! Etc...

These are only some of my ideas i have heaps more but id like to hear yours as well....

Thanks...

I'd definitely be willing to HELP OUT on the SA/Adelaide side of things, but by no shot want to be the sole organiser or even "in charge", however if a "committee" of sorts can be pulled together to work on it I'll be more than happy to assist.

I just don't think I have the skills to take full responsibility for something like this.

I've sort of got this idea of it happening each state on the same date, with each state liaising with each other to be very similar days (AU199's ideas in the above post sound fantastic, the kind of thing I'd like). I dunno, perhaps even have some sort of silly "State Pride" competition with it as well, see if us South Aussies can get the pie cart & the farmer's union guys to come down

Default Melbourne AUFalcon BBQ Day Ideas

Ok , Im in Full Organising and Helping Mode now ..

Here a List of Very Good BBQ Areas , with Heaps of Car Parking , Large Areas for Kids to Play , Lots of BBQ Areas and Lots of Open Area for Every to mingle and talk about cars

Braeside Park , is about 25 Minutes SE of the City , in Keysborough ,
And has :
Picnic area with car parks, toilets, shelter, electric barbecues.
An information centre.
Bird hide and observation decks. Adventure playground.
Access and facilities for people with a disability.
Massive Carparks
The park is reached via the Nepean or Princes Highway. The main entry is on Lower Dandenong Road (Melway ref: 88 D8). Another entrance exists on Governor Road (Melway ref: 93 F1). Bus services (811 and 812) run along Lower Dandenong Road connecting Dandenong, Springvale, Keysborough and Mentone.

Other than that , there is Lysterfeild Lake ,

and it has to offer :
There are two swimming bays. Both of these have a gradual increase in water depth and are surrounded by sand along the shore. For your safety, no hard craft are allowed in these bays and glass is not permitted on the beaches.
Boat trailer parking, boat launching and rigging zone and shower block/change rooms are available.
There are two picnic areas along the lake shore and both have toilets, picnic tables and free electric barbecues.
There are extensive tracks for walking and cycling. Maps of the park are available at the park office.
The horseriding area to the east of the lake is open during summer.
Facilities in the picnic ground such as tables, toilets and paths have been designed to accommodate wheelchairs.
A bird hide at the northern end of the picnic ground allows views of a variety of the waterbirds that visit Lysterfield.
Baby changing facilities
The park entrance is from Horswood Road off the Belgrave-Hallam Road (Melway ref: 108 D2). Lysterfield Park is open every day of the year.

These are 2 Parks , that would easily accomodate 50+ Cars ,

As Apposed to Food , BBQ Facilitys at each area would ensure everyone gets fed quickly and i can organise Meat , Bread and Drinks , for the Day ..

Last Year , The Guys Charged a $10 Entry Fee , and I Think its only fair , that we do the same this year.

Well , theres something to Think about But Keep sending Ideas through about what you want out of the day >.<

Cheers
Daniel

Great to see you thinking about us religious types! Bless you my son!

Good idea not to have it on a V8SC weekend also. I guess for most here that is their religion! LOL!
