Disaster 2: The prang!

Well today on my way home driving on the Western Ring Rd inbound towards the city. I had a accident at about 4:15pm. I hit a guy up the rear at about 60-70km/h after wiping off about 30km/h or so. Damage to my car as far as I know is as follows: Airbags, pretensiors, winscreen, bonnet, bumper, radiator, aircon condensor, radiator support, headlights and maybe fog lamps. Whats under that I can't see I dunno. But I'm ok and thats the main thing. I will get pictures for you guys tomorrow when I get see my car.

Well here are 3 pictures I took today. Like you said Steve my car looks like it is set for the wreckers due to the cost of parts. But I will know on Monday lastest Tuesday

It looks bad, but its probarly not as bad as it could be.. The worse part about the Focus's is the cost of spare parts, which could cause the repair bill to blow out and subsequently the car written off.

No way in the world that's a 60-70km/h prang. Be less than half that.

Parts are a killer for this car and they might write it off. It was a tidy car....not anymore.

But I will have to wait and see Monday or Tuesday. I'm just happy the car did what it was meant to do

I called FocusOnThis yesterday and further to our conversation I just want to say it was good that we had an opportunity to display our cars at the SFS. Hope it all works out and that the main thing is that you're o.k.

my fiance wrote off her 04 pulsar by hitting a truck at 40kmh. the thing just desintigrated....not pretty.

main thing is that youre ok man. did the airbags do their job?

Yeah the airbags done their job. I was quite happy with how the Focus handle the impact. No whiplash or anything. Just a headache.

Well it was confirmed to me this afternoon that they have wrote off the car. So there goes 5 years driving a car that looked after me well. Also I met a great bunch a people that I won't stop keeping in contact with. I dunno what to buy next maybe another Focus or a Falcon. I'm not sure. Just have to wait over time I guess

So, while not meaning to sound like circling vultures, should we all start looking on eBay for the 2.25" Hi-tech stainless steel exhaust, K&N panel filter, black Alteza tail lights,ST170 fog lamps, ST170 clear side indicators, ST170 lower grill, ST170 alloy pedals, genuine Focus scuff plates, footwell lighting, 17" MP3 factory alloys with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 rubber, Alpine headunit, Alpine power and mono block amps, Alpine 6½" splits and 12" Type S subwoofer?

Well today I went down to recover all my personal items from the car. I have these parts available for purchase. If you would like them please pm me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. First in will get preferance.

K&N panel filter, black Alteza tail lightsll, ST170 alloy pedals, genuine Focus scuff plates (scuff plates pending on someone decision), Alloy gear knob and I think a set of Zetec car mats.
