Love all the people in the back of the Surferoo Ute. The advertising bureau nowadays would have a heart attack watching that.

A groovy hip happening ad, man, but where's the panel van. I see a beach.

*so* nice
If XWs were on runout I would run down to the dealer and score a wagon. Falcon 500 with bench seat. Grecian Gold, Reef Green or maybe Diamond white - black trim. Radials and redwalls and for info tech, I choose the AM radio. 221 would be fine, column auto - or maybe the column 3 speed manual to share with the kids and spin them out. It is an ancient art form. Now iirc you couldn't get GS pack on XW wagons (unless you knew someone inside Ford) nor could you option GT suspension. Not until XY for those extras on the more common garden variety cars. But you could do Option 28 - super duty shock absorbers so I did that. Also option 45 - Limited Slip diff. Options 03 and 62 - front and rear seat belts, because safety is important. While I was there I accidentally also bought an XW Falcon 500 ute in Silver Fox, black trim, with 302 and column auto/bench seat. And they had a lonely ZC Fairlane 351 in that nice darker metallic blue, with white trim and black vinyl roof so I bought that as well and got the full Windsor 351 GT driveline in auto, this time with one of those very nice chromed T-Bars. Hindsight is fun. I would unironically buy these cars if they were available.

Did I mention the steel thickness in them? They are built like a battleship.
And once going, the momentum of this steel, it feels like you are floating along in a Vimana. No wonder they sold
