I assume that the aussiecoupe registry wont allow the same vin to be entered twice - as our Landau is on both the AFF registry and aussie coupes.
cheers

Thanks Falconubelievable, It is a manual search, but I'll only adjust the necessary bits for you, so it is up to date

Naturally I'll give credit to FF for these entries, and will ask all owners listed in thehardtopregistry.com if they're happy for me to share their info,

cheers,

Hi Simon,

Its a public forum so technically, everyone has access to it! Most of us are not worried in the slightest about sharing this sort of info as there is precious little that anyone can do with it anyway. Naturally you do not have to post anything that you are not comfortable with.

Would love to see some pics of your restored Landau too!

Off topic, move it if you wish, but I thought here was the best place to post.

There is a Landau horn pad on Ebay ATM, with a Puma emblem on it.
Any ideas whatg that signifies? I can't remember what my Dads one had on it, I assumed they had the Coat of Arms, like the LTD's.

The early Landaus had a steering pad that was from the American Ford Cougar - so it's a Cougar not a Puma

Another new bloke here.

I'm a bit Ford challenged as I come from the dark side, but here are the details of my Landau.

JG70RL90200K
Build Date 4/75
Eng T
Trans B
Trim S
Paint E

Missing original engine
Condition: Needs full restoration, missing all running gear.

How do I know if it originally had a vinal roof? What would colour E have been. Car is currently white.

Welcome aboard and great to see another Landau here...post some pics of it in a separate thread! I can't find my paint codes atm so someone else might tell you what E was but to answer your question, all Landaus had vinyl roofs- they shared a specific twill pattern with the LTD's- some will have had it removed but all came with it as standard. Colours ranged through blue, green, brown, white and black.
Your trim code is saddle (beige cream)
What state do you live in? You'll see plenty of helpful info here to aid you on your resto- getting the matching numbers engine would be brilliant whilst difficult but there is a site that locates listed cleveland blocks- again, someone here may be able to point you in the direction of it.

Cheers, Jamie

Hi all. I'm another new bloke to the forum. I'm also new to the Ford scene.
Been a Holden man all my life but I have always like the Ford coupes.
I have a 1973 Landau, details as follows:
JG70NC22747K
Eng T
Trans B
Trim P (Parchment)
Paint 4 (Deep Ivy)
Roof ? Vinyl has been removed.Unsure of original colour.
Plated 9/73
Matching Numbers
Car has no rego and was purchased partly dismantled. The car is missing some items but I hope to pick these up along the way.
The car needs a total rebuild/restoration.
