Default Pink Floyd fans?? Good news.

The OFFICIAL statement reads: Pink Floyd can confirm that they are releasing a new album, The Endless River, in October 2014. It is an album of mainly ambient and instrumental music based on the 1993/4 Division Bell sessions. The album is produced by David Gilmour with Phil Manzanera, Youth and recording engineer Andy Jackson. Work is still in progress, but more details to come at the end of the summer.

Forget Pink Floyd .. follow a real band that still exists and actually tours and puts out new music too.

Yes are releasing a new album called "Heaven and Earth" right now. They will be touring Australia in November. I saw them recently in Brussels and they are currently touring the USA to sold out venues. I've got my tickets already for the Jupiters Casino concert on the Gold Coast.

I shouldn't be too hard on Pink Floyd they are pretty good I know.

Cheers Mike

No tour and no Walters...

Still, will be interesting...'Division Bell' wasn't that bad, is it take the path of 'marooned' and 'high hopes' it should be outstanding.

More interested to see what Roger does as he is/was Pink Floyd. Gilmour is too conservative and same with Division Bell even though it wasn't a real bad album, I just hope the new one is good and Roger does release something! Amused to Death was freaking brilliant and still is in the CD in the car along with Final Cut and The Wall! Yes .... I still like CD's and the stacker is all Waters!

Glad that I am not the only one that rates ATD as arguably the best theme album ever written. It is coming out on SACD in September. It can be pre ordered on Amazon..

Waters has also said that he has so much material that he has written over the last 30 years that he is planning a new album at some stage. He was quoted that if you like ATD that you will love his new album.

But sadly he will never play with again, Gilmore, Mason or [Wright] ( for obvious reasons).

There is little doubt that Waters was the steering wheel during the days of Floyd when he was contributing. As someone said earlier Gilmore was a little conservative in the post Waters days.... But I still rank him as one of the best guitarists in the world...

Forget Pink Floyd?? Yeah rite... And by the way PF still exists. Give them a break they are all in their 60's now and have spent many of those years putting world class shows on around the world... They set the standard that only others can dream of achieving...

Couldn't agree more, without Roger Waters there is no Pink Floyd, Love all his solo albums, pros & Cons of Hitchhiking is probably my favorite, saw him here in concert a few years back. Just awesome!!
