Default ebay parts fakers

Hello Ford forums members,
like most modern computer age people i like the convenient's of shopping online for car parts gauging prices or looking for a bargain or two, this brings me to my point, we were all taught at some point in our life that if something is too good or too cheap to be true it probably isnt, so using that logic when shopping online helps to gauge what we are getting involved in or stuck with, But when did it become the ebay seller practice too price fake items at the lower end of genuine prices? i payed $130 each for 2 "genuine" Bosch 044 pumps, that with some careful after purchase research i found to be $7 alibaba specials, so if u buy any Bosch 044 pumps of ebay make sure they have a helicoil in the feed side of the pumps. cheers Shane

Did you ask the seller for a refund?
If the product description doesn't match what you bought, you are within your rights to return the goods and request your money back.

Yep! I even managed to get a refund from Dick Smith recently after they simply never delivered an order. I had forgotten about it and six months had passed!

Just because its a picture of a real one does not mean you will be delivered a real one.

Umm no it does not as already pointed out in this thread.

Plenty of Chinese fake items on eBay. All will have photos of the genuine item, but will ship you a fake.

Not sure what rock you have been living under.

If it says Bosch packaging, I assume the packaging is the only thing that's Bosch.
Also ALWAYS check the negative feedback.

You misunderstand.. I am well aware of the amount of counterfeit parts in the Automotive industry. I deal with the parts industry here in Australia

What I'm saying is if its states Genuine, and the buyer can prove otherwise they are entitled to their money back.
this particular Ebay store also states 30 day money back. and has a good rating

They also offer fake 044 pumps on their site so it is possible the wrong part was shipped. who knows, either way the OP should not be out of pocket.

A quick Google and it seems the 044 pump has a fair bit of counterfeit issues, and shows how to identity the correct one. I suggest the OP use some of these images if making a claim.

I just got refunded over $1K by eBay themselves for a dispute because "the sellers description didn't match the product" that I received. It took about 2 weeks to resolve after the goods were received back by the seller.

And this mob will not have or ever have had genuine Bosch pumps, they will buy 50 at a time of Alibaba for $7 each and sell them as genuine, and some people will want returns as they find out they are fake, but alot will not its a scam pure and simple.
