Very nice
There's a red VK dunny door getting around Melbourne with a VY front end, looks weird.

Hey guys, I am the original owner and builder of this ute. The side skirts, rear pods and wheels have been photo shopped onto the ute. It had weld wheels on the front and stockies on the rear. The engine was a 460ci big block with twin T04 air research turbos and intercooler.
Here is a original photo of the ute in my shed taken back in 2009

Not my cup of tea, but good on you for trying something different, and putting so much work in.

Thanks. By the looks of it its copped a lot of flack but at the time this ute was just an experiment and a lot of fun to build but also a lot of hard work as we only had 3 months to do it from start to finish so it was extremely stressful. I wouldn't do it again as I now prefer the stock look of the old falcons.

How much horsepower? And estimated cost of putting that donk together. Would have been a crazy ride.

I never got to properly test it before I got rid of it but when we put it on the dyno I only really looked at how much torque it had and it was putting out about 1300 Nm at the wheels @ 4000rpm
Cheers.

Sorry, estimated cost was about $15,000 including the car.

Looked great with the weld wheels. Nice to be able to keep costs down being hands on.
Thanks

I think it turned out surprisingly good. I'll probably get shot down for this, but I think it's better done than Ford's effort of grafting an EF front onto the old XF body when they released the XH ute. The BA's proportions are a better match.

Haha thanks, you're probably right about getting shot down but I agree with you and it was a fun experiment
