That first shot is clearly not a spy pic. A photographer would have to sneak into the studio set up all his professional photography gear and take a few shots then run off.

For a Mondeo though, thats an extremely good looking car. Price out of the picture, its still a real good looking car.

Sorry, I don't like it. The front & rear windscreens are far too steeply angled which means you get a lot more interior heat and also the A pillar gets in the way of your sight much more often (as it is a lot further forward). Given the average speed reading on my car is about 45km/h, why would I want a car that looks, from the waist up at least, like it is designed to do 300km/h? It is possible to have low wind noise without doing that, albeit with a slight increase in drag - remember most driving is done at speeds where aero drag is of little consequence.

From the article

"...The photos are showing 7 pictures of the prototype and one computer image suggesting how the new Mondeo could look like upon its release."

Fact: Mondeo drives like a big focus.

Fact: New Mondeo looks better than any other european mid-sizer (family sedan over there).

Fact: If it comes here im buying one.

It's far too early to make a call on its looks, unless it will be released from the factory covered in thick camo gear!

Must be DAMN cold over there.. look how they keep their cars warm in the cold weather. This must be to warm the engine up real quick, and the heater to kick in much quicker. e

Mabey Ford will have it listed as an factory option, for those who are senile and tend to put knitted cardigans on anything when the temperature drops more than 1/2degree at any given time.

As for the rest of the car it's looking like a sedan version of the SMAX mpv - especially in the front. The roofline disturbingly looks a little like that of the current Vectra hatch, though hopefully it will look a lot better.

All will be revealed when the temperature warms up by more than 1/2 degree and that black cardigan is thrown off.

The prototype certainly looks agressive.

Overall I like it and think it has a nice aggresive stance in both versions...however there is something not quite right with the front.

Agree on all fronts. If they bought it here, would be cheaper (& better) than a VW Passat. Last time I was in the Uk, we had a Mondeo, did 5,000 miles on it in 6 weeks..... Something special about an almost Falcon sized (Not Weight) car with a small Petrol engine

Thats not the new mondeo, it is a concept car with some alternate fuel motor in there.
And Bonds main car in the next movie will be a new version of the AMV8

Mazda 3? I'd say in terms of Mazda it looks more along side an RX8.

However, If that comes into production as a Ford Mondeo in Aus, that will be AWESOME.

Rwd turbo 6 har har... yeah right.
