Just read a little on the new Escape on carexpert.com.au
37 k drive away. The article doesn’t have a lot of detail but at this price point does this put Ford back in the game? It sounds a competitive price but I m not an expert on Suv s. Is the new Ford ceo having a crack? Jpd80 etc comments? |

Well you can buy Suzuki, Honda, Mitsubishi and probably others starting from around $25k and Toyota Rav4 at $31K so. It's competative against Skoda at $45k.

I just spent some time on websites for Ford, Mazda and Toyota. The Escape is a little bit more expensive, however maybe people are willing to haggle and get the price down a bit. This is just a quick comparison on price only and not what standard features come with the cars. Add an automatic to the base Rav 4 and that price would go north. In my opinion it's a nice looking car and hopefully it does well.

In my opinion, Ford has thought about what it wants to offer in Australia,
I’m glad they skipped the 1.5 I-3 EB but don’t understand offering a diesel over a 2.5 hybrid, I think that’s one area where RAV4 is making huge inroads. |
