Default some more VE piccies including of the calais interior

taken from a thread at ls1.com.au, looks the goods so far
although from what an engineer at the electrical supplier has said, there are a few bugs needing to be ironed out. Also Orion is suffering from some as well but there is more time for Orion to be sorted before its release.

http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=54139

kudos to the photographer.

looks alright, bit like an Audi merged with the current VZ, its seems like a long car to me, almost statesman like.

Am I the only one here who thinks all the car-bra and camoflage gear they put on nearly released cars is childish??

Honestly, at this stage of it's development, where everyone has seen either pictures of 99% of the car, or very good computer generated images, what's the point in driving around with black covers on the front and rear? All it does is draw attention to the car.
All Holden needed to do keep it quiet from the media and Holden fans was to not put any badges on it. That way, everyone would have just pointed at it and said "na na, look at the new Nissan Maxima".

I'm a bit impartial towards it, but it's a big step in shape change. Reminds me of the change from VL to VN.

I wonder how much more advanced the VE will be over the current BF.
Surely it will feature some dandy new stuff that you usually only see in high class euros.

That's probably what it will have over the BF, mind you that is probably a calais, so it'll be interesting to see what the other models looks like.

A nice looking package from what i'm seeing, it definitley is a big change from the VZ.

to further elaborate on my door trim rant the doors look similar to vr/s in a way. like i said before im impressed with the design but imo its design will look outdated alot quicker as with the current generation commodore and all others except for maybe the vl

well, by the looks of it, holden have got a drink holder that is probably ALOT better than the BA/BF ones we get stuck with!
you cant hold a can of softdrink in the damn things without spilling half of it down the shifter surround! :

Door interior trim looks *interesting* - actually, it looks rather untidy

Well, it almost looks like they made a commode without a vomit induceing interior.... well done.

Now fix the hopeless 6cyc motor and garbage auto and they'll almost have a half decent competitor for the Falcon.

So far it's looking good - albeit evolutionary rather than revolutionary in the styling department. The kink in the rear doors has a nice hint of BMW about them and charcoal over cream interior is looking good too.

I must say I'm a fan of the pumped front guards - the first car they reminded of was the E46 BMW M3.

With the drink cup holders it obviously looks like they've gone for the transversally mounted over longitudinally mounted. I Actually like it better the way they are mounted in VZ. I find with Falcons that the drink cup holder is too close the gearstick and it's difficiult to drive properly with a couple of powerade bottle sitting there. Maybe I shouldn't drink and drive... :P

As far as the Commodore goes, I like the door handles. It will probably match it with the BF on just about every level, and make the BF look a little outdated. And so it should for a model 4 years newer. But when Orion comes out it will be game over Commodore!
