Nice car (shit video), I would love to own a focus with a V8 dropped in it, would be insane... sounds nuts too.

Just wait for it to download fully and then copy it from your temporary internet files folder. Do a sort by size and it should turn up at the top of the list.

Ok, I'll be the first party pooper to say : for like the 3rd or 4th time, but obviously not everyone has seen it yet....

There are a number of V8 RWD Focus conversions going around, from the modular 4.6L V8 to the 351... take your pick.

Negative ghostrider.

They struggled to fit a Focus RS turbo engine into one.

What is the “Original weight” of a focus? (i.e. the original (unmodified) “tare weight” of the sedan version of the vehicle model fitted with the largest engine available for the model but without optional accessories such as air conditioning and tow bar.)

according to p3 on:
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registrati.../vsi/vsi06.pdf
because the car is over 1100kg then the max allowable capacity is calculated by multiplying the weight by 0.294 to get ci, or by 4.82 to get cc for normally aspirated.
1196kg (the lightest 4-door/sedan model) x 0.294 = 351.624ci or 5764.72cc.
that makes a 351 or 5.0L windsor legal in a focus in nsw. could even stroke the 5.0L to 333 or 347ci and build a 450hp street driveable v8 with alloy heads. wow, the ultimate sleeper :dr_Evil: . use lpg for epa reasons. 5.0L motor would weigh the same with alloys as the e-series I6.
anyone got the mega$$$ to import the parts? i know i dont!

according to the same rta page, a super/turbocharged 289windsor would also be legal! :Up_to_som
1196 x .244 = 291.824ci or 4.784L
turbos make v8's quieter. even better :Up_to_som

well, 1202kg x .244 = 293.288ci. no supercharged 5.0L for you. the rta says they go off the sedan model's weight. it's only a difference of 6kg anyway, & the 351 is legal calculated on 1196kg. how big you wanna go?
you could super/turbocharge the modular quad cam 4.6 (it's legal in nsw & there is a kit) :
