Default Escort MK2 Custom Dash

Hey guys I'm starting to design a custom dash cluster using autometer gauges or the like. How would I connect up and a speedo when the escorts have a mechanical speedo cable? Has anyone attemped this idea?

use the electric speedo and their sender unit, you can calibrate the speedo yourself when ever you change the diff or different size tyres got one in my mk1 and works great
