Default ac bearing noisy

just a quick question...
the ac compressor on my eb ghia is noisy as all hell...
they clutch/bearig on the front is noisy...
just wondering if it hurts it if i cut the belt? so theres no drive on it...
can the heater still be used... its got climate control... so the ac is usually turned on when you turn the heater on...
as far as i know it should be right, but i just want to be sure...

Just make sure it is not the top idler, it is far more common to wear particulatly if you wash the engine down.

No Idea about the effect it would have on the climate control.
Certainly with manual systems it would be OK.

Wont hurt the Climate Control system. Wouldn't hurt to unplug the compressor while you're there.
