Boys, just want to let you know (some guys already know) that PHAT CUSTOM KITS are not worth dealing with in any form, no matter what sort of deal you think your getting.

Their bodykits are crap, and fit ...well they dont....without mods and unrealistic "make it fit" phrasing, and a bloody good panel beater that will charge you extra labour (which they are entitled to do) to make these lousy kits fit.

I called Ron at P.C.K today and explained a situation that Im having now, and after the phone call I was just short of pulling him through the phone and slitting his throat, but played it cool, and advised him the phone call was recorded, and have since now placed a complaint with Dept of Fair Trading.

Please please please, be willing to pay that little bit extra for some quality and go see SSV instead, or BLITS in QLD if you need to. SSV cost a bit more but stand behind their product and will refund if your not happy with the fit, unlike Numnuts in Dandenong.

Upload your poor quality fits bars here. I will be the first!

As a reminder, my Panel Beater is SEFTON SMASH, one of the best in Sydney, who are responsible for numerous Summernats Show cars, and custom one offs, and even Drago insisted he didnt want to fit this front bar due to it not being made wide enough, and would cost another grand to MAKE it fit which I could understand.

Yeah... I'll say this..

He will make his kits "Half-Decent" If you pick them up in person... If it has to be shipped, it's generally absolute **** quality...

I've read alot of bad things about this mob. Those pics look terrible, but then again the FG FPV style kit on a B series was always going to look half baked. Why not go with Fibresports who are in the Shire, they sponsor this forum too.

It's Latin (Lorum Ipsum text) used as filler text in publishing. Here it's being used to substitute for their customer service policies!!

You just have to visit their website to see how shoddy it is and to stay away.

Seriously what kind of company has such a half **** half finished website filled with spelling and grammar mistakes?

for example..

"FORD fg style body kit to soot BA ford"

Hey again, just purchase new front and rear bars from SSV.
What can i say PERFECT match, great fitment, perfect gaps and no pinholes in the fibrelass finish.

I dropped car off at Sefton Smash today and we lined up the CRAPPY rear bar from P.C.K and it was absolute RUBBISH!! I took pix for you to see the "quality build" and fitment.

Summary is.... pay the extra, go to SSV and get some excellent quality bars from them!!

I rang Phat custom kits and just by talking to the punk realised that i didn't want anything to do with them.
He was too rude ,too overpriced and not willing to explain much.
Ended up buying a Blitz body kits front bar for a GT lookalike,it was awesome looking but deteriorated very quickly.I did a lot of country miles is prob why.
My pain ended when i tore it off after it hooked up in a parking lot on one of them stupid bumpers,it had a bolt sticking up that i didn't see so my bad.
I now have a 2nd hand black Taxi front bar and it's ok for the moment.
Cheers.

Yeah, the name in itself would put me off straight away!
But then again, I am not into aftermarket kits anyway.
I reckon they all look dodgy!

see a pattern? pick up on the spot = better quality.. seems they fob off the ***** products to interstate buyers.. -avoids confrontation and refund because of freight hassles..

Yeah I managed to get a refund on the front bar but coughed up $60 for freight back to the tool. Cant send the rear bar back as we cut a section out for the towbar to go through. Just going to take a dive on this one.

Have got confirmation from SSV that the new rear bar will be delivered Friday.

Here is a saying for you all to keep in mind when thinking about buying on the cheap, instead of on the quality.

"The Bitter Taste of Poor Workmanship Lasts Long After The Sweet Smell of a Cheap Deal" .... things to live by, when it comes to bodykits! And anything else for that matter!

If you paid for it with a credit card then contact the bank.

When you pay with credit card, your contact is with the bank. You pay the bank for the stuff, and then the bank pays the seller.

If the stuff is faulty or not as advertised then you can pursue a refund with the bank.

So, if you paid with credit card, start talking to banks, consumer affairs departments, etc, and learn about credit card laws.

I know a lawyer that sent a place bankrupt with this (they deserved it).
