How will the mods. effect fuel economy, better or worse.
You state that it will shock a few V8 owners, but one thing that V8 drivers have that you will never have, is the V8 rumble.
No matter how fast that you get it to go, somebody will ALWAYS be that little bit quicker

Gee, thanks for the lesson in resigned failure.

If we all stuck to the “why bother, someone will always be better” ideals we’d almost be ready to move out of the caves by now.

Yes, I’m sure Tony Schumacher’s rail car has very little to worry about from an 8 year old I6 AU…. But then again, I’m not doing this for him, or you, I’m doing this for me. I’m excited, many others are interested, and if it means that I get to have a bit more fun then its worth it.. even if “somebody will ALWAYS be that little bit quicker”

Fuel economy rates up there with 4th century chicken art as things on my "give a ИИИИ" list

Look on the flipped side,
Sure there is always someone faster, but then again WE are always faster then someone else!

As for economy.. never really even thought about it but it wont be significantly effected I don’t think.
Where did I say not to bother, I for one would love too do what you are doing, to my I6, but I do miss the rumble of my previous V8's, but now luv the economy of my straight gas AUIII

What about those that have the V8 rumble, that Casper hears as he goes past? Like my LPG burning XR8? Do I care - No! Good on Casper for having a go. Once he has it all sorted, the rest of us will be lining up at G&D (when cash allows).

oh, and for the record, the AU V8's are still the sweetest sounding car. I have never even attempted to make my I6 sound like one, complete waste of time. I have an I6, I will do to it all I can and enjoy it every day. Its never going to be a V8, I dont want it to be. It is my toy and I think more than one person will be suprised by the end of this year.

YaY for the 'old mans car' going fast lol
You wont hear the V8 'rumble' when your infront of it :P
or you can get a loud I6 like mine and make the guys with V8 rumbles think twice before giving you a go lol... and if they try..blow them off anyway

So Casper
Does forced air come into your long term plans yet.
Would love to fit a S/C to my car in the future, but can't see it happening in the next couple of years.
