Im after some info on what type of system to put on my xr
i want to keep my twin system i will be putting pacemakers on it, but what size to go with? i heard 2 and a half dont hold enough pressure i was told not to change my cats ford v8's are pretty good i need some advice please |

Asking that question on here, you will get 62 different opinions. Here's mine. If you are going to keep the stock cats and cats back system (twin 2" or 2.25", I think), then get the triY pacemakers - that's 4-2-1. The 4into1s will do the job as well, but the general consensus is that the tri-Ys are better for near stock engines. For the record, I have 4-1s, plus a single 3" and I love it - the right sound, and plenty of go.

If your staying 5L with mild cams or no work then TRI-Y extractors if your going to go bigger cam profiles and forced induction or stroking then look at the comps (4-1).
I have 4-1 as well and on a near stock motor you are missing out on the bottom end torque gain, I picked them for my long term plans though. Leave the cats unless your going to start really chasing power and a dual 2 1/2 (mandrel bent)system with a balance pipe will be fine
