I reckon this is a great move by Ford, and I believe batteries and controllers are coming too.

The Biggest issue is it's relatively low power so you need 2. Which makes converting some vehicles tricky. I am sure there will be workarounds.

Yamaha has announced a 498 hp engine, so one of them in an engine bay of a classic will remove the need for chopping things too much, although a pair of them in something would make for great fun.

I don't think 210kw and 429Nm of torque is lacking really. Especially in older lighter cars, its more than almost all V8's in Australia made by Ford till the AU 220 motor. And with torque from 0 RPM, it will fly (its why my 2025kg Tesla with only 287kw and 440Nm does a 0-100 in 4.4 seconds and a 12.9 quarter mile from a single motor; don't need 2 motors).

These motors are sold out for 2022 and early into 2023. Its been a runaway success.

Might be time to turn the 5.0 wheezer into a coffee table……

Yeah, Probably overthinking it.

And yes they're sold out. So don't listen to me.
