Going by your figures, youve spent $8880 on your car, not including the car itself.

$5k on car. Roughly $12k on turbo and t56 conversion.

It's a hobby though like someone said above. Doesn't matter what it costs as long as you enjoy it.

Even on a budget its a hobby (you gotta have something to do besides work & home).....

Car $3700
wheels $0 (replaced an axle for a mate and some other minor stuff) gave me the wheels
Audio $110 12" Sub & Amp (second hand)
Bodykit $350 (second hand)
Paint $300 (painted myself)
XR Suspension $0 (given to me cos mate dumped his car)
XR Stuff $50 Steering wheel, ICC, shifter

So really havent spent much but I have done alot......

Most people buy new stuff but I tend to get stuff cheaper, fix it and put it on the car.... Its only an Ex-cab after all

12000$ for the ute (came with exhaust and lowered, so checked 2 off instantly )

450 for a second set of s2 rims
200 for msd coilpacks
140 for eagle leads
50 for short shift
140 for bosch o2 sensors

stereo from old car - free
and other bits and bobs thats not worth mentioning.

have been VERY tempted to splurge, really wanna SC it.. but i have a commitment to buying a house with the misssus and id feel really guilty spending any more than the 120$ it costs to fill up each week at the moment

Ive actually just been really happy with my purchase price and havent needed to spend much money on this rig in nearly a year.

^^$120 per week on fuel...damn! Im in a bad mood when I have to pay over $40 for my LPG.

Id pay good money to be in you car CAT600...just to witness the gbox..LOL

I haven't kept much of a tally, but the car is not anything special so..

$6300 - car
$3500 - LPG (minus $1500 rebate) $2000
$1500 - Rims and Tyres Package
$200 - ebaichs
$400 - KYB's
$250 - tint
$350 - cat back + tip
$300 - bling

Thats about it...bit under $10k. Im happy with that, I dont think there is anything out there can match the running costs, style and practicality. I still love it, even if I think about buying something else every other day.
