all,
i've done a quick search on the forums and couldn't find exactly what i was looking for. what i'm after is a brief summary of the differences between the au series 2 and 3 xr8. from reading the brochure scans, the only significant differences i can see are the series 3 could be optioned with the ford racing bodykit, and it had the 220kw engine. are there any other significant differences i'm missing? thanks. |

The late AUII could be optioned (like mine) with the 220 engine too, early ones got the 200kw engine. AUII Rebels had the same kit as the SIII. So apart from the kit on the SIII (the SII one is better looking) there isn't any difference.

another thing i'm wondering..the momo leather steering wheel and gearstick knob...did it only come with the blue highlight, or could you get them in just black? |

just to follow up on this, from research i've done it seems that blue momo steering wheels/gearstick knobs were on the xr8/t series. with the red and grey being additional choices for t series owners to match their colour coded interiors.
