What's the stuff they spray on the butterfly valves before they go down the 1/4 mile

Mate I believe it's a glycol mixture to de-ice the butterflies on the scoop, otherwise they can ice up and lock into one position.
That's my completely amateur understanding of it anyway! |

yeah its a de-icer, some just use wd-40.
