All and resident WB expert - 'Yellow Festiva'.
1.3 and torquesteer - you are not seeing things. When I take off from standing start under fuller throttle or 'power' through a corner or go over a longer speed hump... the steering wheel randomly (and sometime strongly) pulls left or right and requires quick steering wheel intervention (and release accelerator) to bring back to straight. No undue noises from front end etc... Any ideas? matt |

Check engine/gearbox mounts are in good condition and not broken.....When they're broken, they cause the symptoms you describe

Got me stumped. Never had that problem unless I really caned it. Tyres in good cond, equally? Other than that what SVO said would be my first line of investigation ;)

Got a WF 1.5L and we never had this problem, don't think these things have enough torque to cause torque steer in the first place lol.

Don't need a heap of torque to have torque steer, when mounts are stuffed.....Struck it plenty of times in a small front wheel drive car like this.

Definitely sounds like a mount. Probably the lower engine one around the gearbox (sometimes called a torque mount).
