The green slip from AAMI has gone from $422 last year to $677!! I rang them to see if it was a misprint, it wasn't.
Their reasoning for the increase was because the car did not have full comprehensive insurance, although it does have third property accident. How can comprehensive insurance be related green slip prices? One is insuring the vehicles and the other the injuries to people involved (except driver at fault). The car in question is a 1991 Mitsubishi lancer so why would I get full insurance on it? By the way the cheapest quote I have found is $495 with QBE and my other car a BA XR6 is $424 with AAMI. I did read in yesterdays paper that insurance companies are trying to re-cope on some bad investments made by them. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/new...-1225820649626 |

Its all about making more money. You dont have insurance, you pay more for your green slip.If you have full comprehensive insurance you pay less but end up paying more in premiums.
