I googled images of both - looks like my crush was Carly (more Carly's chest), and I must have stopped watching by the time Sophie was on because I don't recognise her (would remember as she is so much hotter than Carly from the pics I saw).

Funny looking at the pics of Carly back then - so very 80s with the big permed hair. Then again most of them had big hair back then, we just didn't notice because of the shoulder pads.

lol - I would have kept watching if it was like that.

Back on topic, I remember seeing an ad for Neighbours years ago where they killed off one of the cast (Toadfish?) by sending a classic Holden wagon off a cliff...I thought that was a waste. Waste of a good car, and surely being a wagon they could have fit more of the cast in there before sending it over the cliff.

Maybe I misjudged the show, that Alf fella seems to be a nice guy.

And on another Straya'n drama, Bogan 1 in the Neighbours plot discovers that her bisexual possessed fish isn't a goldfish at all - it's really a blowfish!

Ha, was E Street the one with Marcus Graham playing a guy called Wheels and there was this psycho bad guy with half white face half black face? My girlfriend of the time was right into that show so I had to endure it as we only had one TV back then (a 68cm stereo CRT I thought was so awesome).

Was it also E Street that gave us that Melissa chick that sang Read My Lips and Sexy is the Word? A mate got a tattoo of her on his shoulder blade way back then when she was popular and tattoos weren't so mainstream - not sure if he still has it now (he came out of the closet in the late 90s and we drifted apart as he started moving in different circles).

There was a raunchy series called Number 96 in the 70s that I only know of by reputation as am too young to have watched it back, but from my understanding Chances was just an early 90s version of that.

On Marcus Graham, he was in my favourite Aussie drama from the 90s - Good Guys Bad Guys. He was an ex-cop with a cool Charger and ran a dry cleaning business with his cousin or brother that had Tourettes. Only ran for a couple of years but I loved that show.

The cop cars have been FG Falcons for the last few years. Brax is pictured in the back seat of the XR6 before it gets a dunking.

Did anyone notice it has 17 inch alloys when it gets rear ended and leaves the road then has 18 inch alloys when it takes a dive Into the water?

The producers had originally scheduled to do the stunt with a Commodore but had to change at the last minute when they realised it had launch control.

Yeah they are. However by the shots of the ad it's a MKI.

I was just making the point that in one shot it has 17s and then in the next shot it has 18s.

Nah, I mean those 17's that enlarge to an 18 before an accident!

When an ad comes on, you're meant to fast forward it, not watch it.

93!!!! What?? 20+ years ago! How time flies!

You know the guy in the show who hit her was abused / hassled by fans in the street afterwards for 'Killing Bobby'...

Yeah I just noticed that tonight. Luckily the ad came on a few times, so I could confirm my suspicion.

I stopped watching Home and Away when Tug left. There was also that other character that drove a nice Charger. He was in that Brisbane band Indecent Obsession.

I thought Melrose Place was better!

Who remembers the dopey "Lance" and his equally brain-challenged mate who were in the early days of the show trying to come up with get rich quick schemes, when the show was more humorous and less dramatic?
He ended up winning the lottery and started turning up with a procession of Street Machine Magazine cars...one memorable one was a blown XY which was on the cover of said magazine at one stage in the eighties.

Those were the days...

I actually remember that - thought his shorter mate looked like a young version of the singer from Uncanny X-Men.

The thing I noticed is that the RH rear wheel locks as the car heads for the instant car wash. Is that CGI or has the stability control or anti-lock or whatever its called, failed again?
