"A lightly upgraded 2017 Ford Fiesta ST will make its Australian debut in September, bringing a welcome technology update and a few subtle exterior tweaks – along with a notable price increase to $27,490 plus on-road costs.
Changes on the outside are limited to a new grey metallic finish to the ST’s 17-inch alloy wheels, along with new red-painted brake callipers to bring its look in-line with the larger Focus ST. In the cabin, the Fiesta ST gets the long overdue addition of satellite navigation and a reversing camera, bundled in with a larger 5.0-inch non-touch display (up from 4.2 inches). Ford’s old Sync 1 system remains the operating system of choice, however, with the hot Fiesta missing out on the more recent Sync 2 and Sync 3 upgrades appearing elsewhere in the brand’s line-up. Navigation and a reversing camera were added to the European-market Fiesta ST in early 2014 (US-market models even get a larger 6.5-inch screen and the new Sync 3). These changes brought price increases in Europe, but Ford Australia resisted the upgrade, telling CarAdvice that it would instead work to keep the ST’s price as sharp as possible. Now, with those updates coming to Australia at last, September’s update will see the Fiesta ST price increase to $27,490 plus on-road costs – up from the $25,990 sticker that it has held onto since launching here in 2013. The new pricing makes the Fiesta ST a match for the Volkswagen Polo GTI ($27,490), but the pocket-rocket Ford remains safely below the $30,990 Peugeot 208 GTi and the $30,000 starting price of the Renault Clio RS. The updated Fiesta ST, which is otherwise unchanged, will go on sale in Australia from September 2016. NOTE: additional photos, including of the new 5.0-inch display, have not yet been made available." Read more at http://www.caradvice.com.au/432406/2...RLQSRMEjQgi.99

Yawn, dont mess with a good thing?
They should have atleast put SYNC 2 in it, that is about the only thing that needs to be changed in the standard package. |

Glad I decided to put my money down on a 2016 model. Even then I figured that any upgrade might be to SYNC 3 with a small price increase. $1.5k for some cosmetic changes and a non touch SYNC 1 just to get navigation and a reversing camera doesn't seem worth it.
