Default FOCUS Touch up :)

I had some touch up paint made up for the Focus (Frozen White) at my local panel shop but it's not a real good match, I would have taken it back and told them but they didn't charge me for it so I haven't bothered. I was looking for some white spray paint for a small job I was doing and came across a can of Dupli Color paint amongst my collection in the colour NOBLE WHITE. When I sprayed some in the lid to check on the colour it looked to be a close match to the Frozen White on the car so I grabbed my touch up brush and went over the couple of spots I had touched up previously and you can barely see them now. Just thought that as you can't buy Frozen White touch up over here (unless you have it made up) that for anyone wanting a near perfect colour match Noble White is a good compromise and I think it should still be available in stores (ie Supercheap, Autobarn etc.....).

Why don't you just buy the genuine touch up paint? I paid about $15 delivered on eBay from the UK.

Here's an example:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-TOUC...item439aee35f1

The part number for the genuine paint is FINIS code 14 24 549

Thanks for the info, I know you can buy it off eBay from the UK I did mention that in my post. I was more meaning that for anyone who needs touch up in a hurry and can't wait for it to come from O/S. I won't be worrying about buying the genuine paint for now because the Noble White is just so close to the same colour it's barely noticeable

This member posted a download link, with instruction, on how to do it myself. One week on, the unit hasn't played up once. Three different dealers told me to virtually 'Live with it.

When I asked them for a price to Australia they told me it's a dangerous good and cannot be shipped.

I tried to get some from Ford. They said they cannot import it. Probably the same reason mentioned above. They said that local Accessory shops will be stocking it or providing an alternative. Not really impressed with this it will never match the factory touch-up..

I got some from Team Torque Steer, IIRC. No dramas importing it.

I emailed one of the Ford dealers in the UK a while back and it would have been about AU$25 delivered to the door for the touch up and clear coat kit (Frozen White)

This sounds OK just came across it with a Google search and they ship Australia wide - http://www.touchuppaints.com.au/Ford..._Paint-300.htm
