i did mine last year, dual pistons on front of series 2, sorry i can`t remember how much a kit was to rebuild them , they would probably be expensive if new pistons are required/fitted(mine were still serviceable),dissasembly clean up, reasembly, refit, bleed, add brake fluid cost and labour time included in that price i assume, its probably not over the top imo.

You can buy new calipers cheaper than that. The kits retail at about $25 per caliper, and the pistons (if required) are about $20 each

autobarn used to do exchange calipers for about $180. Don't know about nowadays though.

I would check repco for this one if memory serves,
Exchange units and price reasonable, Not a lot of businesses will rebuild calipers these days when the price of new units is so close for common vehicles, Plus then if caliper leaks down the track the cost of rework as opposed to parts warranty replacing the unit and a quick bolt on job... |
