Default VW introducing cars with petrol particulate filters

I look forward to seeing all the warranty claims knocked back on these vehicles when the PPF craps out because of our high sulfur fuel

That is ok they will have to lift the quality of fuel or VW will eventually lose sales once people realise they are being conned on this new technology.

I guess Australia won't adopt Euro 7 until 2027 then

So it's ok for oil refineries to sell ultra low sulphur diesel (10 PPM)
but not ok to sell similarly sweetened petrols?

What a crock, this is just old local refineries resisting change.

It's a bit rich of VW to diss AU about it's fuel quality given there are countless thousands of VW group cars out there that tell nice little electronic lies about how much emissions they were producing..

Am I right in thinking that in AU affected customers effectively got the middle finger & a software patch at some point, while US/EU customers got options for refund/replacement along with rectification

Please, that’s a frivolous comparison; it trivialises genocide.

If I had my way back when unleaded became compulsory, or more accurately lead was banned, 95 ron should have been the base fuel, and low suphur from day one. The politicians get hood-winked and lobbied to death by the corporates time and time again. Make the standard, match world levels and tell the companies you can choose to stay here selling or not, you'll forfiet your refineries and we'll find another player willing to come in.

Separett 9020.

I find it rather amusing in the way someone explain to me how these particulate filters work.
He said... "It's like holding you fart in all day around other workers, then on you way home when no one is around you, you just drop the lot in one big dump."

I'm not comparing.

I'm making the point that it makes me want to vomit that the company created by Hitler to fund his war machine dares to claim they have the moral highground on anything.
