On 13/12/2006 i had my birthday present at calder. We rocked expecting Seton to be driving, and to my total excitement Ingal and Courtney were taking the drives. The whole SBR team, lead by Ross, are absolutely brilliant, professional and totally approachable.I was told that james will be taking me and about 10 min before my ride, he actually came up to me and asked if i had EATEN!!!!!!
Getting the taste of a V8 supercar,up close and personal was mind blowing, the noise, acceleration and not to mention the stopping power!!!! But the best thing was the last lap, he actually yelled out, hold on... also to see those guys "work" behind the wheel. James Courtney is as much professional as any one and is one to watch and if you get an opportunity to do this, grab it.

Fun day man... Lucky bugger. Did you speak to the guy on the right in pic 1,4 and 5? He looks like Pat. Autobarn Melton. Good pics as usual Tony.

It's a great experience that's for sure i did it at calder about 18 months ago with russell driving, the speed is OK but it's the breaking and cornering that is mind blowing.
Imagine a two seater funny car or top fuel dragster..........far out... |
